As a major sub-contractor on the Roseau Water & Sanitation Project, ACE Engineering Ltd undertook just under 30% of the total water and sewer works of the main on-shore pipeline contract valued at EC$16 million between Oct 2000 – August 2011. Its role included:
All surveying and setting out works for the project
Construction planning for all onshore works for the main contractor using Microsoft Project
All urban traffic re-routing
Representing the main contractor at all weekly project meetings with the client.
In addition, ACE Engineering Ltd was separately sub-contracted for the installation of 8 km of mainline water and sewer works and 5 km of lateral works. Some of the sewer laying works involved trenching to depths of over 4 metres, and pipe laying below the water table and at critical slopes as low as 0.18%. We are equipped with a very accurate laser level, which significantly increases working speed and accuracy over the conventional method of using optical instruments for determining slopes.
