1. Conceptual design of an environmentally suitable intake to replace consultant proposal post-tender.
2. Design concept included:
   • Flow over-weir extraction.
   • Use of river material in construction and integration with river bed to reduce
   • impact of built works.
   • Reduction in resource requirement.
   • Reduction in capital cost.
   • Minimal maintenance cost.
   • Reduction in life cycle cost.
   • Construction of intake across river 50 ft wide.
